Xie Feng, China’s ambassador to the United States, is believed to be in office as soon as this week after months of vacancy

According to the U.S. political news website Politico citing people familiar with the matter, Xie Feng, China’s new ambassador to the U.S., will arrive in Washington as soon as Tuesday (May 23) to take up his new post. Since the previous Chinese ambassador to the United States, Qin Gang, returned to Beijing to serve as foreign minister at the beginning of the year, the new ambassador has not come to assume his post.
