New Delhi: An earthquake occurred in the northeastern state of Assam today around 4 pm. The National Center for Seismology revealed that an earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale occurred at 4.18 pm. Due to this, people ran in some places. However, no incidents of property damage or loss of life have been reported so far. The earthquake occurred in Assam’s Nagaon on Sunday.

To this extent, the National Center for Seismology has given an update on Twitter. On 2nd of this month at 4.18 pm, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported in Nagaon, Assam.

A day earlier, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck Surat, Gujarat. The Institute of Seismological Research said in an official statement that it took place at 12.52 pm.

It is known that a powerful earthquake created in Turkey on Monday. Thousands of people died in this natural disaster. Millions have become homeless. The relief efforts are still going on. According to one expert, Turkey may have shifted up to three feet (10 meters) from its position due to the earthquake.
