85 percent of people who suffer from snoring experience sleep disturbance.

Hyderabad: Today is World Sleep Day. Specially allocating one day for sleep.. reveals the importance of it. Sleep is very important in everyone’s personal and professional progress. If you get enough sleep, you can reach your goals smartly throughout the day. If you don’t get proper sleep due to noise disturbance at night.. the whole day will be dull. Especially if the partners who sleep next to each other have snoring it can have a huge impact on their health. The Century Mattress World Sleep Day survey revealed that talking about snoring, seeing it as a problem, and brainstorming solutions is a welcome development. The survey revealed some interesting facts.

According to the Sleep Snore Card survey, 85 percent of people find that their partner’s snoring disturbs their sleep. They wake up from sleep due to snoring. Seven out of ten couples find that their partner’s snoring bothers them. What’s more, seven out of ten couples record and listen to their partner’s snoring. Moreover, 32 percent of couples compared their partner’s snoring to the sound of a motorcycle.

More than 2,700 people aged 27 to 50 were surveyed in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Patna and Guwahati.

According to this survey, 67 percent of people believe that snoring is due to work fatigue and some health problem. 45 percent think snoring is linked to obesity. Meanwhile, 55 percent think that snoring can be reduced with small changes.

Commenting on the results of this survey, Century Mattresses Executive Director Uttam Malani advised to take snoring seriously and avoid health and interpersonal problems caused by it. Snoring can lead to chronic problems. Dr Jagdish Chaturvedi, a nose and sinus surgeon in Bengaluru, said the survey reveals that snoring is perceived as a problem and accepted. He said that if snoring is left untreated for a long time, it can lead to health problems.
