Vijayawada: State Women’s Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma visited the dead body of Estheru Rani, a blind woman who was brutally murdered by a psycho in Tadepalli, Guntur district. Padma reached the mortuary of the Government Hospital and consoled the deceased’s mother, grandmother and other family members. After asking the family members about the incident, they assured that the Padma Mahila Commission will stand by.
But when Vasireddy received the Padma, Tadepalli women and TDP leaders reached the hospital and raised slogans against the government. The chairperson stood across the car and started protesting. Telugu women have demanded that Padma should respond to the attacks on women…or resign from the post of chairperson of the Women’s Commission. Vasireddy Padma also left the place after the police arrested the protesting women.
