As a result, 300 passengers were stranded at the Chicago airport. Some passengers complained that there was still no clarity on when they would be able to fly to Delhi. Originally, the Air India flight was scheduled to depart from Chicago O’Hare International Airport at 13.30 hours (local time) on Tuesday and land in Delhi at 14.20 hours on March 15.

Gopal Krishan Solanki Radhaswamy, who was scheduled to travel on the flight, told PTI on Wednesday that the passengers have been waiting for about 24 hours and still “the airline has not given us an answer”. A passenger waiting at the Chicago airport said in a video message.. “We don’t know exactly what’s going on… we don’t even know when we’re going to leave,” he said.

They are complaining that they have been waiting at the airport for almost 24 hours and there is no clarity on when they will go to Delhi. An Air India spokesperson said that the AI ​​126 flight had to be canceled on March 14 due to technical reasons. He said that all round support has been provided to the affected passengers and all efforts are being made to accommodate them in alternative flights. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers,” the spokesperson said. A total of 1,171 flights were canceled due to technical reasons in 2022, 931 in 2021 and 1,481 in 2020, the government told Parliament on Tuesday.
