If we go into details.. People flock in large numbers on Saturdays and Sundays to see the Durgam Lake Cable Bridge in Hyderabad city. It has become a tourist place. In this order, those who came there were taking pictures and those who were going in the vehicles were also stopping their vehicles and taking selfies. Earlier, the traffic police had banned the parking of vehicles on the cable bridge. But as this was not taken seriously, the fine was increased from Rs. 200 to 2000 thousand. Police said they have increased patrolling along the cable bridge especially after sunset and on weekends, as many people make a pit stop on the six-lane bridge. As a result, traffic problems are being faced due to disorderly parking of vehicles.
Some take selfies on the bridge while others come to this area to get fresh air. So far, the police officers have sounded the sirens and chased away those parking on the bridge but failed to stop them all. At present, CC cameras have been installed to monitor the bridge from time to time and action is being taken against illegal parking. Officials said that cameras will automatically capture the number plates of bikes and four-wheelers parked in prohibited areas next to the bridge and challans will be issued on the spot.
This problem is especially acute during evening rush hours. He expressed hope that now the amount of fine will be higher and this menace can be stopped. There is also a park that offers a good view of the walkway and cable bridge. Madapur Traffic Police said that people should not obstruct the traffic of the bridge by parking like this. Also, the officials asked pedestrians to use footpaths only and not to crowd on the main bridge. Meanwhile, locals suggest that if the parking spaces on the road adjacent to ITC Kohenoor or Inorbit Mall are used, the bridge will not be disrupted.
