The anonymous person deposited the amount into a crowdfunding account set up by Nirvan’s parents, whose details would remain anonymous. In the same sequence, a child was affected by a rare disease. The doctors said that his treatment would cost crores of rupees. While the child’s parents were seeking help from donors, an unknown person donated Rs. 11 crores for the child’s treatment. This help given by an unknown person to the one and a half year old Nirvan proved that humanity is still alive in the society.

In details… a stranger donated Rs.11 crore for the treatment of Nirwan, a 15-month-old boy suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. The amount was deposited into a crowdfunding account started by the parents, who wished to remain anonymous. Sarang Menon and Aditi Nair from Palakkad, Kerala have a 15-month-old son named Nirvan. However, doctors said that the child was diagnosed with a rare disease called SMA in January this year and the treatment would cost crores of rupees. The parents of the child who could not afford it asked the donors to help for the treatment. Crowdfunding has started.

For the past few days, messages have been pouring in on social media to help Nirvana. People from different parts of the world continue to do their part to help. But it has become difficult to reach the Rs.17 crore required for the treatment. At such a time, an unknown person sent Rs. 11 crores to Nirvan under the medical aid of the child. However, the identity of the person has not been disclosed. This is not done for name and fame. It is stated that it is enough if the child is cured. The parents said that if another Rs.80 lakh is received, the amount required for Nirvana’s treatment will be completed.

Nirvan is the son of Sarang Menon and Aditi. That little family lived happily ever after. Son Nirvan was born amid many expectations. Thirteen months later it was learned that Nirvana’s health had deteriorated. The parents took the son’s blood sample and tested it. After three weeks of testing, Nirwan was diagnosed with a rare disease called spinal muscular atrophy. Doctors said that Rs.17.5 crores are required for Nirvana’s treatment. This treatment should be given before two years of nirvana. Only after that it will be effective. Realizing that life-long savings would not bring enough money to the family, they applied for crowdfunding for help in good faith, and now it has paid off. An unidentified person gave Rs.11 crore to Nirwan under medical aid.

Even Sarang and Aditi do not know who sent such a huge amount. Aid received from abroad through crowdfunding. It is reported that an unknown person came forward to help Nirvan, for the sake of his name, he did not want to become a celebrity and told him not to give any information about him. Two months ago Nirvan’s family members approached him for help. It was well supported by media including Asianet News. Till February 13, 2018 Rs.4 Crores have been collected. But now another Rs.80 lakh is needed to reach Rs.17.5 crore. However, the child’s family members said that they have spoken to the pharmaceutical company and asked them to allow the late payment of the amount and to take steps to deliver the medicine soon.
