IPL 2023: The 16th season of the Indian Premier League will begin on March 31. An official statement to this effect was also issued on Friday. This season is approaching another milestone.

This league, which has been entertaining Indian cricket fans as well as global cricket lovers for 15 years, is going to reach another milestone in the 2023 season. A thousand matches will be played in this league in the 16th season. May 06 will reach this rare milestone in IPL.
Coincidence or otherwise, this prestigious milestone is happening between two legendary teams. It is noteworthy that it is happening between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians who are the most successful teams in IPL. The 1000th match between Mumbai and Chennai is scheduled to be played at the Chepak Stadium in Chennai on May 6.
The matches between these two teams in IPL are described as ‘El Clasico’. No matter how many matches the other teams play, no matter how exciting the game is, the match between Mumbai and Chennai will not get the same craze. So far 15 seasons have ended in IPL, nine of them. Chennai is leading with four titles and Mumbai with five titles.
