The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has already considered Mane as a conspirator in this case.

In this order, the court on Friday directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to express its position on Mane’s petition. Mane was arrested in April 2021. He is currently in judicial custody. Police officer Mane apologized in court on Thursday. He wrote this apology with his own hand and asked the court to give him a chance to repent. Special NIA judge AM Patil recorded this on Friday. He then sought a response from the prosecution.

According to news agency PTI, Mane wrote in his apology petition, “In my entire 26-year police career, I have been recognized as an excellent, very good officer. Also.. till the time of my arrest.. I received about 280 awards from central and state governments. He also received respect from the higher officials of the police department. As a police officer it is my responsibility to protect the lives of the citizens of the country, but unfortunately, I did some mistakes without knowing it. I have decided to disclose the facts fully and truthfully to repent for these mistakes and to bring justice to the victim’s family,” he said.
