Amaravati: AP Governor Abdul Nazir said that the state has topped the country in GSDP. AP Governor Abdul Nazir inaugurated the budget session of the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly on Tuesday. After taking charge as the Governor, the Governor inaugurated the budget meeting of the AP Assembly for the first time.
On this occasion, the Governor mentioned that 11.43 percent GSDP growth rate has been achieved every year. Per capita income in AP is Rs. It has increased to 2.19 lakhs. The governor said that the financial condition of the state has improved for four years.
The governor said that the state has been governed transparently for four years. The governor reminded that the welfare schemes implemented by the state government are directly reaching the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Governor Abdul Nazir said that AP has been providing good governance for four years.
The Governor said that significant development has been achieved in the industries, agriculture and service sector. The Governor said that modernization has been undertaken with Rs.3669 crores in the first phase through Mana Badi and Nadu-Nedu. Governor Nazir said that 80 lakh children are being given financial assistance through AmmaOdi. The governor reminded that 44.49 lakh mothers have been given financial assistance of Rs.19,617.60 crore.
The Governor said that digital learning is a key element in the education sector. Students for digital learning Rs. Governor said that 5.20 lakh tabs worth 690 crores have been distributed. The governor reminded that curriculum reforms are being implemented from the academic year 2020-21. The governor explained that textbooks have been redesigned from class one to class seven. The governor said that 43.26 lakh students will benefit from Jagananna Gorumudda.
Governor said that AP is the only state which provides free higher education without financial burden. The governor said that two junior colleges are being set up in every mandal in the state. Fee reimbursement is being provided under Jagananna Vidyadeevena.
A tribal engineering college has been set up in Kurupam. The Governor said that JNTU-Gurajada in Vizianagaram, Andhrakesari in Ongole, YSR Architecture Fine Arts University in Kadapa and Cluster University in Kurnool have been established. The governor explained that 14 government degree colleges have been set up for higher education.
Governor said that 50 percent reservation has been made for women in local institutions. On this occasion, the Governor mentioned about 50 percent reservation for women in nominated posts. Disha said that the app has been launched for the safety of women. The governor said that he goes to the women in distress and provides protection in moments.
The governor said that 1.4 crore health cards have been provided by the medical department. He said that health support scheme is being implemented with Rs.971 crores. He said that the family doctor scheme is being implemented at people’s homes. Governor said that steps are being taken to have two doctors in every PHC.
By 2024, permanent houses will be provided to deserving people. The governor said that 30.65 lakh house land titles have been distributed in the name of women. The governor explained that the YSR pension is being distributed on the 1st of every month. Every month, 66,823.79 crores of pensions are being distributed to 64.45 lakh people.
The Governor said that the government will implement the YSR zero interest scheme to get women out of debt. The governor said that the works of Polavaram, Pula Subbaiah Veligonda projects, Rayalasamy drought relief project and other projects are in progress.
