Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is on a visit to India. He reached Ahmedabad from Australia on Wednesday. Here Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel welcomed him at the airport. After this Albanese also visited the Sabarmati Ashram here. Later, as per his schedule, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese played Holi at Raj Bhavan in Ahmedabad. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced that the Australian and Indian governments have finalized the ‘Australia-India Education Qualifications Recognition Mechanism’. He said that there has been significant development in our bilateral educational relations. This new mechanism means that if you are an Indian student studying or have studied in Australia, your hard-earned degree will be recognized when you return. Meanwhile, he also announced a new scholarship ‘Maithri’ for Indian students who want to study in Australia. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Governor Acharya Devvrat also participated in the event.

He was accompanied by Trade and Tourism Minister Dan Farrell, Resources and Northern Australia Minister Madeleine King and a high-level business delegation. He will also watch the fourth match of the ongoing Test series between India and Australia here. He will also visit Mumbai on March 9 before reaching Delhi.

Before leaving for India, the Australian Prime Minister said that we have a historic opportunity to strengthen our ties with India. He said that this visit reflects our commitment to further strengthen India-Australia relations and be a force for stability and development in our region. Discussion on strategic issues

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, important aspects of the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Australia will be discussed during this visit. It also discusses regional and global issues of mutual interest. Apart from this, PM Modi and PM Albanese will also attend the annual summit to discuss areas of cooperation. Prime Minister Albanese will also meet President Draupadi Murmu in Delhi.
