Babar Azam says that league is better than IPL.. Why is he playing in both?

The Indian Premier League, which has been entertaining cricket fans around the world for the past fifteen years, will soon enter its 16th season. Hundreds of cricketers from all over the world hope to play in this league which is recognized as the cash rich league in the world. But like IPL, there are many cricket leagues in different countries, but there is no competition for this league even in the poor ones. But the captain of the Pakistan cricket team has recently made sensational comments on the IPL.

In a podcast hosted by Peshawar Zalmi, Babar said that he likes the Big Bash League (BBL) held in Australia more than the IPL. Actually, Babar did not play in both these leagues.

The anchor of Peshawar Zalmi podcast asked, ‘BBL or IPL..Which one would you like to watch..’ To which Babar said.. (after thinking for a while) he replied ‘BBL’. But why..? When asked by the anchor, Babar replied… ‘The conditions are different in Australia. The pitches there are also different. The ball hits the bat. There will be a lot of learning opportunities. But what is in IPL..? We will have the same Asian conditions here (Pakistan)…’ he said.

While IPL.. which was started in 2008, Babar’s favorite BBL started in 2011. Pakistan Super League started in 2015. Babar said that he likes BBL.. but he has not played in that league till now. The Pakistan Board did not give him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) even though he showed interest to play BBL several times. The Indian government allowed Pakistani players to play in the IPL only in the first edition of 2008. After that, they are not allowed to play in this league due to border and political disputes.

IPL fans are going crazy over Babar’s comments. If the Australian cricketers themselves are showing interest in playing in this league, not only leaving their national team schedules but coming to play in this league, Babar says that it is not appropriate to talk about IPL like this. In PSL, Peshawar Zalmi, which is headed by Babar, has qualified for the playoffs. Babar Sena, who played ten matches in the league stage, won five matches and lost five. Peshawar, who are fourth in the points table, will play against Islamabad United today (March 16). The winning team in this match will play the eliminator match. The losing team has to pack their bags..
