Automaker Bajaj Auto has launched the new 2023 Chetak Premium Edition in the Indian market. This new version comes with Chetak premium materials. Scooter bookings have also started. Deliveries will begin in April 2023. The regular Chetak price is now Rs. 1,21,933 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
The 2023 Bajaj Chetak Premium Edition comes with a big color LCD console that displays vehicle information with greater clarity. It will be the new top-of-the-line variant in the Chetak lineup. The electric scooter comes with a new two-tone seat, body-coloured rear view mirrors, satin black grab rail and matching pillion footrest castings.
The Chetak Premium Edition has an all-metal body and an onboard charger. The scooter will be available in three new colors – Matte Corse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue and Satin Black. Chetak Electric Scooter is currently available in over 60 cities. Bajaj said Chetak will be available in 100 stores across 85 cities by March 2023.
Bajaj Chetak is 1890mm long and has a wheelbase of 1330mm. Electric scooter seat height is 760mm, ground clearance is 160mm. The e-scooter rides on 12-inch wheels with 90/90 section tubeless tires.
For braking, the scooter gets a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. The Chetak gets a single sided leading link at the front and an offset mono shock at the rear. Its electric motor draws power from a 2.893kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Electric motor power 4.2kW (5.63hp), torque 20Nm. The Chetak electric scooter offers an ARAI certified mileage of 108 km, while the real-world range is 90 km on a single charge. It can reach a speed of 63 kilometers per hour.
