According to the Hindu calendar, Ugadi starts from the Pratipada tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. Chaitra Navratri also starts from this day. This time Ugadi will be celebrated on March 22.

A week before Ugadi, cleaning campaign starts in every house. Women are engaged in cleaning the garbage, painting and storing the materials needed for the festival. While cleaning, it is equally important to throw out unnecessary items in the house. Because some things spread negativity in the house. But due to negligence we keep them at home. If there are more of these, negativity and trouble will increase in the house. So they should definitely be removed. Let’s see that…

Broken idols
According to Vastu Shastra one should never break idols of deities in the house. If the idol is broken anywhere, throw it in the flowing water. Otherwise the house will be in bad luck.

A stopped watch
According to Vastu Shastra, like a clock stopped in a house, a person’s fortune also stops. Therefore, if the clock stops working at home, it should be fixed or thrown away immediately. Because a stopped clock has a bad effect on a person’s progress, financial status. So repair the broken clock or watch immediately or throw it away.

broken glass
According to Vastu Shastra, keeping broken glass or objects made of it in the house increases negative energy in the house. This weakens the economic situation. So do not keep broken glass items at home.

According to the Ugra statue
According to Vastu Shastra, an idol of a deity in a fierce form should not be placed in the room of the deity. Because they think they are the cause of evil. For example, the fierce Narasimha, Shani, Durga in the killing form, etc.

Torn religious books
According to Vastu Shastra, torn religious books should not be kept in the house. Leave them in running water.

Expired medications
Everyone has medicines at home. We get medicines in advance for minor ailments that are needed on time. But use them completely. Some of them also expire. This time, while cleaning the house for Ugadi, check the expiry date of all the medicines in the house. Throw out expired ones immediately.
