India’s second ‘Bharata Mata Temple’ built in Mangalore: The second Bharata Mata Temple has been established in the country. It was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is the second temple in the country after Bharat Mata Temple in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.

Going into details… Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah inaugurated the Bharat Mata Temple at Amaragiri in Iswaramangala in Puttur taluk of Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka on Saturday. Union Home Minister Shah has arrived in Karnataka to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (CAMPCO) in Puttur town. It was in this sequence that he started the second Bharata Mata temple in the country.

Construction of Bharata Mata temple with 3 crores

The Bharata Mata Temple was built by the Dharmashree Pratisthan Trust at a cost of Rs 3 crore. It is the second temple in the country after Bharat Mata Temple in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. The foundation’s administrative donor Achyut Moodettaiah said that the temple was built on 2.5 acres of land belonging to the foundation. He said that the aim of the temple is to develop the sense of patriotism among the people towards the great warriors of Mother India.

When Amit Shah inaugurated the Bharat Mata Temple at Amaragiri in Iswaramangala in Puttur taluk, he was accompanied by several senior leaders. A six feet tall statue of Mother India, three feet tall statues of soldiers and farmers have been installed in the temple. Earlier, Shah visited Sri Panchmukhi Anjaneya Temple in Hanumagiri. He was accompanied by state Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, senior BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa, state party president Nalin Kumar Katil and MPs.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised that the Congress and JDS believed in the 18th century ruler of Mysore, Tipu Sultan, and that both parties could do no good to Karnataka, and that the state was running austerity rule inspired by the 16th century Ullal Rani Abbakka Chauta. Amit Shah accused the Congress of being corrupt and the opposition party using Karnataka as an automated teller machine (ATM) for the Gandhi family.
