Meanwhile, in December last year, the Telangana High Court gave permission to investigate the MLAs’ temptation case with the CBI. On October 26 last year, three were caught by the police while tempting four BRS MLAs. Acchampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju, Pinapaka MLA Rega Kantha Rao, Kolhapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy and Tandoor MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy received a complaint. Moinabad police have registered a case. Police have arrested Ramachandra Bharati, Sinhayaji and Nandakumar in this case.

The Telangana government has issued an order to form a SIT headed by Hyderabad CP CV Anand to investigate the case. However, instead of the SIT, the BJP has filed a petition seeking an investigation with the CBI or an independent investigation agency. BJP state general secretary Premender Reddy and four others have filed petitions with the same demand. However, the Telangana High Court, which took the technical aspects as the basis, rejected the petition of another person including the BJP.
