A terrible road accident took place in Madaripur, Bangladesh on Sunday. 16 people were killed and 30 were injured when the speeding bus went out of control and fell into the valley. The incident took place in Qutubpur area of Shibchar Upazila of Madaripur. The passenger bus is going to Dhaka from Padma Bridge approach road. The Dhaka-bound bus, driven by Emad Paribhan, lost control and fell on the expressway in Madaripur around 7.30 am, police said.
OC Abu Naeem MD Mofazel Haque of Shibchar Highway Police Station said that rescue and relief operations are being carried out with firemen, police and local people.
