Amaravati: Central Home Ministry has sent a letter directing action against senior IPS officer Sunil Kumar. AP CS Jawahar Reddy sent this letter to the State DGP. Senior IPS officer Sunil Kumar previously served as AP CID DG. Recently he was transferred by the state government. High Court lawyer Lakshminarayana filed a complaint with the Union Home Ministry seeking action against Sunil Kumar. In this complaint, lawyer Lakshminarayana mentioned issues like illegal cases and violations of Supreme Court judgments.
On the 3rd of this month, Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy received a letter from the Central Home Department regarding these complaints. Actions have been issued against senior IPS officers. Not only that, the letter also asked for an action taken report, according to a popular Telugu news channel NTV article.
