Going into the details… The name of the accused is Vikas Tiwari alias Braj Bhushan (24, a resident of Rewa. The accused Vikas Tiwari joined the army four years ago. He is currently serving as a Naik in the Second Corps Battalion in Patiala, Punjab. Recently, the accused came to his hometown Rewa on vacation.
In this order, he went to the Hanuman temple near Gangev on Saturday afternoon along with his boyfriend. This love couple forgot the world and talked. Meanwhile Brajendra Kori alias Bhayyamba (30) from the next village reached there. He is a truck driver by profession. The truck diver saw them both in the temple and took their photos secretly without their knowledge.
Someone told the jawan that Brajendra had taken a video of both of them. This made him furious. Immediately taking his girlfriend with him, he started chasing the truck with the scooty. After going a short distance, he stopped the truck near Laxman Dhaba on Highway-30. The soldier asked the driver to get down. When he did not get down, he got into the lorry from the other side and asked the driver to delete the video.
When the driver refused to delete the video, the enraged soldier fired at him twice with the revolver he had brought with him. While one of these bullets missed, the second bullet hit Brajendra’s left eye. The accused soldier then ran away. The victim was shifted to the Sanjay Gandhi Medical College in the district, where his condition is said to be critical, officials said.
