Raipur: Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of spreading lies about Bharat Jodo Yatra. He also claimed that the first big meeting of the Congress after the Bharat Jodo Yatra would be a game changer.

Congress General Secretary KC Venugapal: Congress General Secretary KC Venugapal has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of spreading false propaganda regarding Bharat Jodo Yatra. Venugopal described the nationwide Bharat Jodo Yatra, which was undertaken by the Congress from Kanyakumari to Kashmir under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, as the biggest political movement. Speaking in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, Venugopal said that he has come to review the arrangements for the upcoming party meeting. Also, “Whatever they (BJP) talk about Bharat Jodo Yatra, you have seen how it happened. It became one of the largest political movements in the country. They (BJP) are doing false propaganda,” said Ayana. Talking about the plenary meeting in Raipur, he said it would prove to be a game changer for Indian politics.
85th Plenary Session of Congress
Congress party plenary meeting is being held for the first time after the end of Bharat Jodo Yatra. With this, this meeting became a priority. The 85th Plenary Session of the Congress will be held in Raipur from February 24 to 26. Congress has formed an organizing and reception committee for this meeting. All India Congress Committee general secretary Tariq Anwar has been appointed as the convener of the organizing committee. In this regard, Venugopal, who reached Raipur, will hold a preliminary meeting there and review the arrangements.
Speaking to the media, Venugopal said that our plenary meeting will be held on February 24, 25 and 26. He said that he has come here to see the preparations for the plenary and then there will be a meeting regarding the preparations. He said that he will leave from here after the meeting.
Bharat Jodo Yatra ended on January 30.
The Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi has launched a nationwide Bharat Jodo Yatra on September 7, 2022 from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. After 135 days, the journey was completed on December 29, 2023 with the unfurling of the Tricolor at Lal Chowk, Kashmir. During this time the Bharat Jodo Yatra passed through 75 districts in 14 states. During this period, 204 Indian passengers traveled from Kanyakumari to Srinagar along with Rahul. Rahul addressed 13 rallies during Bharat Jodo Yatra.
