Raipur: There is talk from many parties that all the opposition parties should unite for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has already made it clear that some parties want the Congress to lead the alliance. But, recently, with Rahul Gandhi’s comments, it seems that the discussion has started again. Does Congress have faith in opposition unity? Or? Does that party actually want to lead? Or? Some critics are asking questions. At the same time, senior leaders of the party disagree with Rahul Gandhi’s comments and say that they are trying to unite the opposition. Let’s see who said what.

Mallikarjun Kharge spoke openly about opposition unity as part of the Meghalaya Assembly election campaign. He said that in the 2024 general elections, the unity of the opposition will be achieved and they will hold talks with ‘all parties’. He said that if the opposition comes together, even if a hundred Modis and Amit Shahs come, they will not be able to stop them. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi’s latest comments two days later in the same Meghalaya reveal a different attitude.

He criticized the Trinamool Congress. ‘You know the history of TMC. Bengal knows about violence and scams. You know about their tradition. They spent a huge amount in Goa. There is only one goal behind it. It is to help BJP. Now they are trying to implement the same idea in Meghalaya too. They want to see the BJP get stronger here and come to power,” said Rahul Gandhi.

While his comments were like this… Veerappa Moily disagreed with the Congress’s stance while speaking at a three-day intellectual conference in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. They said that they will remove the differences between them. He explained that he will form an alliance with the likes of Mamata Banerjee, Nitish Kumar and KCR. They said that they will work together to get everyone together. Gada said that there is a need to strengthen the Congress and it will be easy to lead the alliance if it is strong.

He said that Rahul Gandhi is definitely a valuable asset to the party. He explained that he has been in Congress for 60 years and knows its true strengths and weaknesses. They said that they will work together. Veerappa Moily is the Chairperson of the Political Affairs Committee of the Congress Party. This committee deals with alliances.
