Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has sentenced Magunta Raghavareddy to 10 days ED custody in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam. Meanwhile, the ED officials arrested YCP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy’s son Raghava Reddy in connection with this case on Saturday. It is known that the ED has mentioned the names of Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Raghava Reddy in the charge sheet submitted to the court.
In connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam, South Group received Rs. There are allegations that Vijay Nair collected donations of 100 crores and gave them to AAP leaders. In the remand report of Amit Arora, who is an accused in the case, the ED has stated that there are many people including Sarath Chandra, Abhishek Boinapalli, MLC Kavitha and Magunta in the South Group. In this order, investigative agencies also conducted searches at the residences of Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Raghavar Reddy. However, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy has revealed on several occasions that he has nothing to do with this case.

Further, some people from the South Group have already been arrested by the investigating agencies. Recently, the CBI arrested Gorantla Buchibabu, a chartered accountant from Hyderabad, on Tuesday. Buchibabu previously worked as a chartered accountant at BRS MLC.

The Lt Governor of Delhi has asked the CBI to investigate allegations of irregularities in the Delhi Liquor Policy. The CBI took up the investigation. The ED is investigating the money laundering issues from the FIR filed by the CBI. So far, ED has filed two charge sheets in this case. With the recent arrest of Magunta Raghava Reddy, the number of people arrested in this case has reached nine. Meanwhile.. Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 was canceled in August last year.
