The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to amend the rules so that sons and married daughters of deceased government employees have equal right to get employment on compassionate grounds. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The Shivraj government in Madhya Pradesh has taken a sensational decision for the benefit of women. In this order, a key decision was taken in favor of women in the cabinet meeting held today. In the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the married daughter also gave a green signal by giving equal opportunity in compassionate appointments.
Minister of Medical Education Vishwas Sarang said that till now only sons are eligible for compassionate appointments related to the death of government employees or officials in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister ordered that the daughter of the deceased officer’s employee should be given compassionate appointment as the married daughter is not eligible and now the daughters are also eligible in this along with the sons.
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said the Cabinet has decided that married daughters will have equal right to get appointment on compassionate basis like sons. He said that the general administration department has been directed to make necessary amendments to the rules.
To this extent, Aryus Rathod, who died while working in the Finance and Statistics Department. The state government will give a compassionate appointment to the married daughter of Shraddha Malvi. This is the first time in the state that a married daughter is given a compassionate appointment. Earlier this year, the Indore bench of the MP High Court directed the government to give employment to the married daughter of a deceased employee.
Officials said the cabinet on Tuesday decided to make it an official policy citing the court verdict. Mr. Sarang said this decision will have far-reaching consequences for women empowerment. Now with the big decision taken in the Madhya Pradesh cabinet.. even the married daughter is eligible for compassionate appointment.
Homes for the poor
It was decided in the cabinet meeting to construct multi-storied buildings in the urban areas on the land freed from illegal encroachment. A developer will be given land, and he will do some commercial activities. Houses are provided to the poor through cross-subsidy for the homeless. He said that if buildings cannot be constructed in rural areas, land will be given there.
Giver of cattle
The government of Shivraj decided to give two dairy animals to the people of Saharia, Baiga and Bharia tribes. Arrangements will also be made to link the market of milk, cow dung and cow urine. In the first phase, 1500 people will be selected and implemented for the scheme.
Only 10% has to be paid for this. In addition to this, the government provides 90% of the amount as grant. As previously announced by the Chief Minister, the Cabinet has approved Suraj Neethi-2023, a scheme to free the poor from land encroachment.
