Delhi CM and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said that many CBI officers are against the arrest of Manish Sisodia and they themselves told him about this. But he alleged that they succumbed to political pressure. He tweeted this on Monday morning. “I have been told that many CBI officers are against Manish’s arrest. All of them have immense respect for him. There is no evidence against Sisodia. But he said the political pressure to arrest him was too much. They have become loyal to their political masters.

Sisodia was interrogated by the CBI for nearly eight hours on Sunday on allegations of corruption in the implementation of the scrapped liquor policy in Delhi. He was arrested in the evening. On November 25 last year, the CBI filed a charge sheet naming businessmen Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boyn Pally and five others as accused in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. However, Sisodia, who also held the duties of the Excise Department, was not named as an accused in the charge sheet.
