A terrible road accident took place in Pune, Maharashtra. Four people from the same family lost their lives in this accident. A container truck and a car collided on the Ahmednagar-Pune highway on Tuesday afternoon. Four members of the same family, including a two-year-old girl, died in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Sudham Bhondhave (66), Sindhubai (60), Kartiki Ashwin Bhondhave (30), Anandi Ashwin Bhondhave (02). All of them are residents of Domari in Patoda tehsil of Beed.
A police officer said that the family was going towards Pune. A container truck was parked carelessly near Karagaon in Pune district. Then a car hit the container. This caused disruption to traffic. As a result, four passengers in the car died on the spot.
Shirur police station officials said further investigation is underway. Sudam Bhondhave used to run a residential school in Beed district. A family member is driving the car. He was also injured in the accident. His condition is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, a car collided with a bike in Imalia Sultanpur area on Monday evening. Police said three persons including two women died in this road accident. The deceased have been identified as Babbu (35), Rajeshwari (32) and Sonashree (60). Police said the victims were on their way to Sitapur to participate in an auspicious event in Imalia Sultanpur area near Durgapur village of Sitapur district when they were hit by a speeding car from the opposite direction.
According to the police..”The injured were immediately rushed to CHC Maholi and District Hospital. But the doctors declared them already dead,” the police said. He said that the owner of the car has been taken into custody and the dead bodies have been shifted for postmortem. Police said that further investigations will be conducted.
