It has been four years since the Pulwama terror attack that shocked India. On this exact day (February 14) in 2019, terrorists carried out a suicide attack on a convoy of CRPF jawans on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Lethpora in Pulwama district. 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in this terror attack. On the occasion of four years since the Pulwama terror attack, the people of the country are paying tribute to the martyred soldiers. Paying tributes to the martyred CRPF jawans, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that their supreme sacrifice will never be forgotten.

“Remembering our brave heroes who we lost on this very day in Pulwama. Their supreme sacrifice will never be forgotten. Their courage inspires us to build a strong, developed India,” PM Modi tweeted.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to the martyred terrorists in the Pulwama terror attack. “On this day in the year 2019, I pay tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the horrific terror attack in Pulwama. The nation will never forget their sacrifice. Their valor and undying courage will always be an inspiration in the fight against terrorism,” Amit Shah said in a tweet.

What actually happened..
On February 4, 2019, a suicide attack took place on a convoy of CRPF jawans on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Lethpora in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. The attack was carried out by a youth named Adil Ahmed Dar, a local resident of Pulwama. He too was killed in a suicide attack. Adil Ahmad Dar was an affiliate of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JM). The investigation revealed that this attack was well planned. And, in retaliation for this, the Indian Air Force attacked the terrorist camps in Balakot, Pakistan.
