BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that their fight for women’s reservation bill will not stop. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, she expressed her concern that no one, including her own party, is giving more opportunities to women. But Kavitha made it clear that some political parties are making efforts…that’s why they are demanding the Women’s Reservation Bill. She stated that she will talk to the media before appearing before the ED.
Kavita objected that according to section 160 of the CrPC, a woman should be interrogated only at her home, but the ED is calling her to the office. Kavitha made it clear that they will put pressure on the women’s bill in the parliament. They will fight until the bill is approved. He said that Congress was invited for dharna but there was no response. Kavitha mentioned that political parties in Telugu states will also be invited soon. Meanwhile, it is known that Kalvakuntla Kavitha has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to issue an interim order on the ED investigation. However, the Supreme Court said that it will hear the petition on 24th of this month. Due to this, there are circumstances where Kavitha will have to attend the ED inquiry on Thursday. Kavita’s lawyers asked the Supreme Court bench to hear this petition urgently. But the high court said that this petition will be admitted.. It cannot be investigated urgently. The Supreme Court has announced that it will hear the petition on 24th of this month.
It is known that Kalvakuntla Kavitha attended the ED investigation on 11th of this month in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. ED officials interrogated Kavitha for nearly nine hours. The ED officials have given notice to her to appear again on the 16th of this month. With this, Kavitha started a legal battle in the Supreme Court.
