Medium Range Missile test conducted by Indian Navy was successful. The Indian Navy on Tuesday successfully test-fired a Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) from the warship INS Visakhapatnam. The Navy said the MRSAM missiles are capable of countering anti-ship missiles. MRSAM is designed to destroy enemy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and drones within a range of 70 km. The Indian Navy has developed this missile as part of Self-reliant India.

MRSAM is jointly developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Atmanirbhar is produced at Bharat Dynamics Limited, reflecting the Navy’s commitment to India. Indian Navy has revealed the details of this on Twitter platform.

Meanwhile, two days ago, the Indian Navy successfully launched the destructive warship BrahMos precision strike missile. The BrahMos missile was test-fired in the Arabian Sea on Sunday. Navy officials said the precision strike was successfully carried out in the Arabian Sea.

The BrahMos missile was test-fired from a Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer. The defense ministry released a statement saying that the missile successfully hit a ship 400 km away in the Bay of Bengal. BrahMos Aerospace is constantly working to increase the indigenous content of the missile. The Indian Navy has announced that it has successfully conducted this missile test as part of the construction of Atmanirbar Bharat.
