Jagan meets Modi: Petition on 14 issues


New Delhi: AP CM YS Jagan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. Jagan met Modi in the Parliament premises. Jagan discussed with the Prime Minister for about 45 minutes. It is reported that Jagan discussed many issues related to the state with the Prime Minister.

CM Jagan reached New Delhi from Amaravati yesterday evening. After presenting the budget in the assembly yesterday, AP CM’s arrival in Delhi has become a priority. AP CM Jagan will also meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Jagan is also likely to meet Amit Shah and other Union ministers.

AP CM YS Jagan submitted a petition to the Prime Minister on 14 issues. The CM brought to the attention of the Prime Minister that even though it has been 9 years since the division of the state, the issues are still pending. He said that many bilateral issues related to AP and Telangana states have not been resolved.

CM Jagan reminded that a committee headed by the Union Finance Secretary had been constituted on the issues mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Repartition Act. He asked Prime Minister Jagan to resolve the pending issues.

For the financial year 2014-15, Rs.36,625 crore is pending under resource gap funding. He requested that these funds should be released immediately and proper instructions should be given to the concerned departments. The CM said that the Polavaram project will become a reality in a short time if the central government provides adequate support. He said that the state government has spent Rs.

The technical advisory committee estimated the Polavaram project at Rs. He said that 55,548 crores has been confirmed. The CM asked him to approve it immediately.
The flood victims of the Polavaram project should be compensated as soon as possible.

CM Jagan asked to pay dues due from Telangana Discoms to AP Gen Co. From June 2014 to June 2017, Rs. 7,058 crores are due. He requested that these be given immediately.
