Karimnagar: Telangana Congress Party President Revanth Reddy visited the Huzurabad constituency of Karimnagar district. He inspected the sand mining going on in Maneru river at Tanugula of Jammikunta mandal. Revanth said that he came here to show people that illegal sand mining is being done against the rules. He said that the sand mafia is being provoked by the support of KCR’s family members. He said that he saw how Drama Rao tortured the farmers who stopped the sand mafia in Nerela with the police. Revanth alleged that KCR’s family members Joginipalli Santosh and Ravinder Rao are behind the sand mafia. They expressed concern that if similar sand exploitation takes place in Maneru river, it is likely to turn into a desert in a few years.
Earlier, Revanth visited Bizigir Sharif Dargah. Revanth offered special prayers along with Karimnagar Congress leaders and Dargah representatives. Later, Revanth also performed puja in a Hindu temple.
