Tamil Nationalist Movement Party revealed that LTTE leader Prabhakaran is alive. The party president P Nedumaran made a sensational announcement that he will come before the people at the right time and reveal his clear plan for a separate Tamil Eelam.

Chennai: The Tamil Nationalist Movement has made a sensational announcement that LTTE leader Prabhakaran, who led the guerrilla struggle in Sri Lanka, is alive. TNM leader P Nedumaran revealed that Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader Velupillai Prabhakaran is alive and will come before the people at the right time. Founder of World Tamil Confederation and President of Tamil Nationalist Movement P Nedumaran spoke about Prabhakar.
Prabhakaran is said to be healthy and strong. His family is in touch with Prabhakaran, he said. However, he said that he could not reveal his whereabouts and location now. He said that he is making this statement with the permission of Prabhakaran’s family members.
Nedumaran explained that Sri Lankan agitations are currently raging and the current conditions are favorable to introduce Prabhakaran to the outside world. Prabhakaran claimed that he would come before the people at the right time and convey his clear plans to create a separate Tamil Eelam.
In Sri Lanka in May 2009 a war was launched to exterminate all Tamils. Many innocent Lankan Tamils died in this. At the end of this war, LTTE leader Prabhakaran was declared dead.
LTTE fought for a separate Tamil Eelam for Sri Lankan Tamils. Eelam support parties termed the war against them as genocide. Moreover, the then President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapakse, was expected to face trial at the International Court of Justice for war crimes.
Former Sri Lankan MP Sivajilingam responded to Nedumaran’s comments. Then it was explained that the dead body shown by the Lankan government that Prabhakaran had died was still not proved to be Prabhakaran’s.
Nedumaran explained that saying that Prabhakaran is alive is his personal opinion, but his opinion cannot be ignored. He said that if the same is true then Tamilians all over the world will be very happy. He said that there are conditions to establish Tamil Eelam without any actual war. Tamilaga Valvurimai Kachi founder T Velumurugan, MLA responded by saying that the news of Prabhavkar being alive is happy and sweet news.
