Haridwar: A man from Uttar Pradesh committed suicide at the Patanjali Wellness Center in Haridwar early on Friday. Rajeev Kumar from Mainpuri, UP has been staying at this center for some time due to depression. Earlier on Thursday also he attempted suicide. However, in time his wife saw him and dissuaded him from the attempt.
On Friday morning, he committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the building. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and registered a case. The investigation is ongoing.

Bhadrapad SHO Nitesh Sharma said that no suicide note related to his death has been found so far. Postmortem of Rajeev Kumar’s body is being conducted. Further investigation is going on, he said.
Meanwhile, a similar incident came to light in Tamil Nadu in January. The man who set the car on fire because of a breakup. The incident took place in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday. A 29-year-old doctor set fire to his Mercedes car in Tamil Nadu’s Kancheepuram district. Investigators say the doctor was depressed after a breakup with his girlfriend, a former classmate at a private medical college in Kancheepuram, a few years ago.
He is reportedly undergoing rehab to treat his depression. Police suspect that the doctor who was sitting inside the vehicle tried to end his life after setting the car on fire. He chose the same place near the pond where both of them used to hang out regularly. It did not come out of the fire for some time. After that he passed out due to suffocation. Locals informed the fire brigade.
The car was completely burnt. Senior police officials said. Police said the woman was not with him in the car. “We traced her number. We made sure that she is safe. She is not with him,” said the police officer. The doctor’s family is in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. His father was a well-known traditional bone setter in the region.
