Telangana Congress affairs in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray visited the family members of Dr. Preethi, a student of Warangal Kakatiya Medical College who committed suicide due to senior harassment. He reached Preeti’s residence on Thursday and paid tribute to Preeti’s portrait. Later they visited her parents and consoled them.
Meanwhile, Preeti, who was enrolled in the first year of PG in the Department of Anesthesia at Warangal MGM Hospital, tried to commit suicide because she could not bear the harassment of MA Saif, a senior student. On the morning of 22nd of this month, there were reports that she tried to commit suicide by taking an anesthetic injection. She was found unconscious in the emergency operation theater and was first given emergency treatment at MGM Hospital.

But as her health condition worsened, she was shifted to Nims Hospital in Hyderabad on the same day. Since then the treatment was done at Nims Hospital. But there is no change in Preeti’s health. A special team of five doctors made all-out efforts to save her. He said that due to the effect of the injection, all the internal organs of her body were damaged. Due to this, the body could not respond to the treatment at all. Preeti lost her life while undergoing treatment in Nimes on Sunday.
Otherwise, the police have intensified the investigation regarding Preeti’s suicide. As a part of this, the accused Saif was detained by the police. It is known that the Warangal Court yesterday responded positively to the plea of the police to give them custody for 4 days. As part of this, the court allowed Saif to be in custody for four days from tomorrow. The police took him into custody on Thursday. He will be questioned at Mettewada Police Station for four days from today.
