Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has been remanded for seven days by the ED in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. The ED appealed to the court for ten days of custody.

New Delhi: A Delhi court has issued orders sending Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate for a week. He was sentenced to seven days custody in the Liquor Policy case. The ED argued that Manish Sisodia had a direct role in the Delhi Liquor case and it was on his orders that changes in the liquor policy were made to benefit a select few. It is said that there is evidence that Manish’s role in the liquor policy is direct. He was accused of not cooperating with the investigation. ED asked the court to send Manish Sisodia to ten days custody.

Delhi’s Rose Avenue court accepted the plea of ​​ED. The ED has agreed to send Manish Sisodia to seven-day custody and issued orders.

Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI on charges of irregularities in the Delhi Liquor Policy. Sisodia was arrested yesterday by the ED on charges of money laundering in the case.

Manish Sisodia has applied for bail from the CBI case. The ED made the arrest a day before the hearing of this application. Sisodia’s bail application in the CBI case was heard today. The court adjourned the hearing to March 21.
