Three concept oriented films have released in theaters this week. They are Sandeep Kishan’s pan India film Michael, Suhas writer Padma Bhushan, Anika Surendran Arjun Das Surya Vashishta in key roles. Out of these three films, Suhas writer Padma Bhushan is the only one that shows an upper hand. The other two films had a bitter experience.
Michael is a film starring Sandeep Kishan and Divyansha Kaushik as hero heroines. This movie has come to the audience today amid many expectations. The movie was released pan India as an action sequence movie. Michael, which came with good publicity, failed miserably at the box office. Everyone expected Sandeep Kishan to make a come back hit with this movie.. The movie flopped at the box office as the talk was terrible from the first game. Sandeep Kishan Michael starring Gautham Menon, Anasuya, Varun Sandesh, Vijay Sethupathi, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Michael was released in Telugu and Tamil languages and dubbed in Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. But the film did not get a positive response anywhere.
Buttabomma also faced the same fate. Buttabomma is a remake of the 2020 Malayalam hit Kappela. The film revolves around a phone call romance between an auto driver and a village girl who have never met each other. The story of the film is a collection of incidents when another person enters their lives. ‘Buttabomma’ is a movie produced under the banner of Sitara Entertainments Fortune Cinemas. New director Shauri Chandrasekhar directed T Ramesh. This film turned out to be a disaster.
Writer Padmabhushan starring Suhas is jointly produced by Lahari Films and Chai Biscuit Films. This movie is directed by Shanmukha Prashant. Tina Shilparaj acted as Suhas. Writer Padma Bhushan does not seem to matter at the box office in these three films. The film received positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The film stars Suhas as Padmabhushan, a middle-class youth, while Ashish Vidyarthi and Rohini play his parents. It grossed more than Rs 5 crore worldwide for 3 days. It can be said that this film registered the best collections of Suhas’ career.
