Tripura Assembly election: In the background of approaching assembly elections, all the political parties are actively campaigning in Tripura. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is using all the resources at its disposal to retain power once again. Top leaders of that party are campaigning. It was in this order that Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned for the elections on Saturday. Addressing his second rally in Pur, Radhakishor accused the Congress-Left alliance of looting the state for years and forcing people to live in poverty. Prime Minister Modi said that the dreams of the poor, tribal communities, women and youth in Tripura have been shattered by the Left and Congress governments. They alleged that people were forced to leave Tripura.

Highlighting the development work of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in poll-bound Tripura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the northeastern state would become a ‘gateway’ to South Asia. Addressing an election rally in Ambassa, Prime Minister Modi said that the BJP government is constantly working to recognize the contribution of tribal people in nation building. The Prime Minister said that he has promised “Hira” (highways, internet ways, railways-airways) in Tripura and people can see the delivery of the projects. He said that work to double the length of national highways in Tripura is going on at a fast pace.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the development works are going on fast in Tripura. “Optical fiber is being laid in villages in Tripura. Optical fiber has tripled in last eight years. 5,000 km of new roads have been built connecting villages in Tripura. A new airport has also been built in Agartala. Optical fiber and 4G connectivity are being brought to villages. Now Tripura is becoming global. North East, “We are developing waterways to connect Tripura with ports. Tripura is going to become the gateway to South Asia,” Modi said. Prime Minister Modi said that three things are empowering Tripura namely ‘Housebuilding-Health-Income’. He said that PM Awas Yojana has changed the lives of poor people here. In the last five years, the BJP government has built 3 lakh pukka houses for the poor.

Prime Minister Modi criticized the Left and Congress parties for blocking development in Tripura. He said that the BJP government is focusing on increasing the income of the people in Tripura. Money was transferred into farmers’ bank accounts under PM Kisan. This amount will be increased when BJP comes to power. He said that farmers are getting the benefits of MSP (Minimum Support Price) under their regime. Prime Minister Modi, who had previously accused the CPM cadre of occupying the police stations in Tripura, said that now the rule of law is running in the state under the rule of the BJP. He said that now there is women empowerment and ease of living in the state. He alleged that the Congress and Communist rule for decades hindered the development of Tripura. He said that the BJP government has brought development in Tripura and violence is no longer a part of Tripura. “BJP has transformed the state into a state without fear and violence. Only Congress and Left know how to cheat the poor. They cannot free the poor from any problem. BJP as your servant, your true companion… is working day and night to remove your every concern,” he said.
