Congress’s Pawan Khera Arrested By Assam Cops: Congress leader Pawan Khera, who left for Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur, was arrested by the police at the national capital Delhi airport. In this sequence, around 50 Congress leaders protested by blocking the flight.
In details… Assam Police arrested senior Congress leader Pawan Khera at Delhi airport on Thursday after getting down from Delhi-Raipur Indigo flight 6E-204. 15 cases have been registered against Pawan Khera in 15 districts of Assam. Official sources said that the arrest was made in connection with the remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s father. “We have asked the Delhi Police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). We will bring him to Assam after taking the permission of the local court,” said Assam Police spokesperson, IGP Prashant Kumar Bhuyan.
