Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on 12th of this month. During his visit, projects worth 16 thousand crores will be dedicated to the people of Karnataka. He will inaugurate the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway. The foundation stone of the Mysore-Kushal Nagar highway will be laid.

PM Modi to visit Karnataka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again visit Karnataka, where assembly elections will be held soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on 12th of this month (Sunday) and dedicate projects worth 16 thousand crores to the nation. He will inaugurate the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway and lay the foundation stone of the Mysore-Kushalnagar Highway.

Going into the details… Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Karnataka on Sunday (March 12), government sources said. Projects worth Rs.16 thousand crores will be launched in this tour. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway. It takes three hours to travel from Bangalore to Mysore. However, due to this expressway, the time will be reduced to 75 minutes. The foundation stone of the four-lane road between Mysore and Kushal Nagar will be laid. IIT Dharwad will be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister. The foundation stone was laid for it in 2019. The PM will also inaugurate the longest railway platform in the world at Shri Siddaruda Swamiji Hubli Station during this visit.

As part of his visit, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate the key road projects in Mandya on March 12 at 12 noon. After that, at 3.15 pm, the official announcement said that many development programs will be inaugurated and foundation stones will be laid in Hubballi-Dharwad.

Officials said that the Prime Minister will launch several development projects with the vision of expanding the infrastructure plan and having world-class connectivity across the country. As part of this, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway to the nation. The Bangalore-Nidaghatta-Mysore section of NH-275 has been developed into 6 lanes at a cost of about Rs.8480 crores, which is 118 km long. This will reduce the travel time between Bangalore and Mysore from 3 hours to 75 minutes. This will act as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the region, the government said.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Mysore-Kushal Nagar 4-lane highway. This project will be developed for a distance of 92 kilometers at a cost of Rs.4130 crores. The project will play a vital role in increasing the connectivity of Kushal Nagar with Bangalore. It claims to help reduce travel time from 5 to 2.5 hours.

In Hubballi-Dharwad..

The Prime Minister will dedicate IIT Dharwad to the nation on March 12. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for this institution in February 2019. Developed at a cost of over Rs.850 crores, this institution currently offers 4-year B.Tech programs, interdisciplinary 5-year BS-MS program, M.Tech and PhD programs. The world’s longest railway platform will be dedicated to the nation by Shri Siddaruda Swamiji at Hubballi station. It was recently recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. A 1507 meter long platform was constructed at a cost of Rs.20 crores.
