PM Modi, Anthony Albanese in Motera: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese are participating in the first day of India-Australia fourth Test at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Prime Minister Modi gave a warm welcome to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the stadium. Lakhs of people who came to the stadium greeted the two Prime Ministers with applause. Before the match, Modi and Albanese had a meeting with the players of both the teams.

Before the start of the fourth Test between India and Australia, the two Prime Ministers toured the huge stadium in a golf cart. Prime Minister Modi and Albanese handed over Test caps to their team captains Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith.

Australia’s High Commissioner Barry O’Farrell said that cricket is one of the things that unites the two countries and it will be great to see the leaders of the Indian and Australian teams on the first day’s match in Ahmedabad.

India is currently leading the Border-Gavaskar series 2-1. If they win the final test, they will qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship, which will be played against Australia in London from June 7.
