Karnataka Congress: The Congress party has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting the southern state of Karnataka. The Karnataka branch of the Congress is angry that Prime Minister Modi has become a tourist. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Shivamogga Airport in Karnataka on Monday. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi initiated many development works.
However, in the context of the Prime Minister’s visit, the Congress party criticized the BJP government on a severe level. The Congress criticized the Prime Minister for never visiting Karnataka last year when it faced the flood crisis. He criticized that Prime Minister Modi did not care to turn to the state when people’s lives were damaged and properties were damaged and not even a single rupee was released to the state. Prime Minister Modi has turned into a tourist in the state, saying that it is a virtue of the election. The Congress alleged that no inquiry was conducted on the report sought by the PMO earlier regarding the damage to the newly laid road after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the state.
He criticized that no response was received from the Prime Minister on the letter written by Santhosh Patil, a contractor from Belagavi, who committed suicide on corruption charges. He said that Santosh lost his life because of the BJP government in the state. “Thank you (state government) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning Karnataka into the capital of corruption,” Congress quipped. Congress says that the Bharatiya Janata Party thinks that Prime Minister Modi is all powerful and can do anything. He questioned why they are not able to control the inflation. Why is he pointing towards Pakistan whenever this question is asked? The Congress party has criticized that Prime Minister Modi has taken steps to make gas prices cross Rs.1,000 and petrol prices cross Rs.100.
Congress criticized that Karnataka is moving at double speed in corruption. Congress congratulated Prime Minister Modi for not checking corruption and taking 40 percent commission without any hesitation.
