During his visit, Prime Minister Modi initiated many development works.

The Congress criticized the Prime Minister for never visiting Karnataka last year when it faced the flood crisis. He criticized that Prime Minister Modi did not care to turn to the state when people’s lives were damaged and properties were damaged and not even a single rupee was released to the state. Prime Minister Modi has turned into a tourist in the state, saying that it is a virtue of the election. The Congress alleged that no inquiry was conducted on the report sought by the PMO earlier regarding the damage to the newly laid road after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the state.
