Anantapur: TDP candidate Bhumi Reddy Ramgopal Reddy, who won the West Rayalaseema Graduates election, took the declaration form on Sunday morning. The ranks of TDP, including Ramgopal Reddy, have been agitating since Saturday night for the declaration document. Today the suspense about whether the declaration document will get to Ramgopal Reddy or not is over.
Officials announced on Saturday that Ramgopal Reddy has won from West Rayalaseema Graduates seat. But he was not given the declaration document. Ramgopal Reddy agitated for the declaration document. On Saturday, the police arrested Ramgopal Reddy who started protesting at the counting center. After announcing the victory, the TDP ranks were agitated over not giving the declaration document. They protested by blocking the counting center. The TDP leaders brought these developments to the attention of the Central Election Commission. The Central Election Commission has issued instructions to the Election Returning Officer to issue the declaration documents immediately. In the background of these developments, Rangopal Reddy along with his followers came to the Collectorate this morning. Collector Nagalakshmi Ramgopal Reddy who came to the Collectorate this morning and presented the declaration document.
