Ranchi-Pune Indigo flight makes emergency landing in Nagpur..passenger dies..

Nagpur: An Indigo flight from Ranchi to Pune made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport. An airport official said on Friday that a passenger on the flight had to do this due to a medical emergency. The emergency occurred in flight 6E 672 at around 10 pm on Thursday night. It was diverted to Nagpur airport where after an emergency landing, the passenger was taken to the hospital. He stated that he was declared brought dead while undergoing treatment there.

Explaining the situation clearly… the Indian carrier issued a statement saying that medical assistance was provided to the passenger but his life could not be saved. “The passenger was found unconscious on the flight. We immediately made an emergency landing to seek medical attention and rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, he did not survive,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement.

Recently there have been many cases of air passengers dying during the journey. Earlier, a Delhi-Doha IndiGo flight had to make an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan due to a medical emergency. The sick passenger was treated at the airport and later declared brought dead. After this, the aircraft was parked at Jinnah International Airport for about 5 hours and then allowed to take off back to Delhi.

A passenger fell ill while traveling in the plane. The captain requested an emergency landing at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, officials of the city’s Civil Aviation Authority said.

Even earlier, a Madurai-Delhi IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Devi Ahalyabai Holkar Airport in Indore after a 60-year-old passenger’s health deteriorated. After landing, the passenger was taken to a hospital for medical attention, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. It was learned that the passenger was suffering from heart disease which led to his death.

Meanwhile, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Doha was diverted to Karachi in Pakistan due to a medical emergency on March 13. The airline said in a statement that the airport medical team declared a passenger who fell ill during the flight landing. Sources say that the passenger is a Nigerian national.

“We are deeply saddened by this news. Our condolences to his family and close friends. Our help will always be with them. We are currently making arrangements to get the other passengers of the flight to their destination in coordination with the concerned authorities,” IndiGo said. The flight is expected to take off from Karachi soon.
