Manjhi spoke to the media on Friday at the Bihar Vidhan Sabha premises. “Ravana’s role is much bigger than that of Rama. Ravana’s deeds are bigger than Rama’s. Instead of speculating about Rama and Ravana, it is better for BJP leaders to talk about the poor,” he said. He raised questions on legendary poets Valmiki and Goswami Tulsidas.
Jitan Ram Manjhi said that he has always been saying that Ramayana is fictitious. Both Rama and Ravana are fictional. But he said that he believed that Ravana was older than Rama according to the story based on assumptions. It is said that when Rama was in trouble, supernatural services helped him, but nothing came for Ravana.
