Tata Motors is all set to launch special red dark editions of its three flagship SUVs, Nexon, Harrier Safari. All three models will go on sale next month (ie March 2023). The Tata Harrier Red Dark Edition and Safari Red Dark Edition made their public debut at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo. Meanwhile, Tata will debut the Nexon Red Dark Edition. Earlier models were painted in an ‘Oberon Black’ paint scheme. The front grille has a sporty red insert, red brake calipers and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Tata Harrier Red Dark Safari Red Dark editions feature ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery with a quilted pattern on the interior. Gray trim on the dashboard, steering wheel with piano black inserts and red leatherette grab handles add to its sporty feel. Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition is also likely to get Red Black color options.
Notably, the Harrier Safari featured models are equipped with an advanced driver assistance system. This suite offers features like lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision alert and traffic sign recognition. Both the SUVs also get a major updated 10.25-inch infotainment system, new digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, adjustable driver’s seat with ambient lighting memory function. The Safari Red Dark Edition has a ventilation function in the second row of powered front passenger seat with ‘boss’ mode.
Both the Tata Harrier Red Dark Edition and the Safari Red Dark Edition are powered by the same 170PS, 2.0L turbo diesel engine. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are available on offer. The Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition is available in 1.2L Turbo Petrol (120PS/170Nm) and 1.5L Turbo Diesel (115PS/260Nm) engine options. It is available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT transmission.
