Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the deadline for the teachers transferred under GIO No. 317 is from 12th to 14th of this month. She said that the previous district service of teachers will be taken into consideration.

Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy made a key announcement regarding the transfer and promotion of teachers in the state. In the case of those transferred through 317 JVO, the High Court has decided to consider the previous district regarding the transfer of teachers in the context of the interim order. Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said that they will be given an opportunity to this extent. She said that the previous district service of teachers will be taken into consideration.
He said that the process of teacher transfers and promotions, which have already started, will continue. Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the teachers who have been transferred under GIO No. 317 are given a deadline from 12th to 14th of this month to apply. The minister said that this decision was taken to do justice to all the teachers. Sabitha Indra Reddy stated that the scrutiny of 59 thousand applications received already has been completed.

Meanwhile, the state government recently held discussions with the leaders of the teachers’ unions. State Ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Harish Rao discussed the matter of transfers with the leaders of teacher unions. Suggestions and advice from teachers’ unions were taken. In this meeting, the leaders of teachers’ unions expressed their views to the government. Teachers want husband and wife to be assigned to the same district during transfers. The teachers who are working in different districts also held agitation last month. Teachers remind that in the past, husband and wife were not transferred to the same district in all the districts of the state.
