An IndiGo flight from Jeddah to Delhi made an emergency landing at Jodhpur after a female passenger fell ill. She was shifted to Goyal Hospital and Research Center in Jodhpur for treatment.

Tragedy happened in Indigo flight. On Tuesday, a passenger’s health deteriorated suddenly in an Indigo flight from Jeddah to Delhi. The plane had to make an emergency landing at the Jodhpur airport. Suddenly, the passenger was taken to Goyal Hospital in Jodhpur. But the doctors there declared her dead.
The passenger has been identified as Mitra Bano (61) of Hazaribagh, Jammu and Kashmir. She was accompanied by her son during the journey. In this regard, IndiGo said that an on-board doctor assisted the crew in providing immediate first aid to the passenger. Unfortunately, the passenger died on the way to the hospital.
According to news agency PTI, the Indigo flight made an emergency landing at 10:30 am. A medical team immediately took the passenger, Bano, to Goyal Hospital and Research Center in Jodhpur, the report quoted officials as saying.
IndiGo said in a statement that the on-board doctor assisted the crew in providing immediate first aid to the passenger. Additionally, the airlines expressed their condolences to the family members of Mitra Bano. Bano’s son Mir Muzaffar was with her when the plane landed in Jodhpur. “My mother complained of pain in her chest. I immediately informed the crew that an emergency landing should be made at Jodhpur,” he said.
According to hospital sources, “The woman died due to a heart attack. We have conducted the legal formalities. We have arranged transport for her son so that her body can be taken home by road.” Officials said that the plane stayed at the airport for more than an hour and left for Delhi.
