The fans of the Indian cricket team want something miraculous to happen to avoid the defeat of the Indian team in the third Test between India and Australia at the Indore venue. However, it is not known whether something miraculous will happen, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now caught another tension. It is known that the ICC will give ‘below average’ rating to this pitch when there is heavy criticism on the indoor pitch. Pitches rated below average may be deducted match points.

The indoor pitch turned from the sixth over in the morning session on the first day. On the second day, 14 wickets fell. It is known that along with former Aussie cricketers Matthew Hayden and Ian Chappell, former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar has also expressed his displeasure.

Chappell, however, openly demanded that the ICC match referee give below average rating to this pitch. Cricket scholars have also analyzed that making such pitches which are not at all favorable to the batters is a mockery of Test cricket.

Vengsarkar responded to this matter… ‘If you want to watch good cricket, pitches like this are a complete disappointment. Pitches should be made suitable for bowlers and batters. Then the interesting battle between the bat and the ball continues. But if the ball turns from the first hour of play on the first day, it will be an insult to Test cricket.

While blaming the indoor pitch, a cricket expert told PTI, ‘It takes at least a month to prepare a pitch for a Test cricket match. Pitchers also need rest. Recently Ranji Semis was held at this venue two weeks ago. Earlier, the ODI match against New Zealand also ended at the same venue. Even if it is a new pitch, it will react like this because of playing without rest..” he said.

It is known that while the third Test was supposed to be played at Dharamsala venue, the match was moved to Indoors due to the preparation of a new pitch there and it was not yet suitable for Test cricket and the outfield was also not suitable. In Indore, however, it does not seem that the result will be favorable for Team India.
