Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that the BJP-led NDA government has been largely successful in controlling terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, insurgency in the Northeast and left-wing Naxalism. He said that central agencies and police forces are effectively countering the activities of organizations like Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Center has succeeded in imposing restrictions on PFI. Shah said that this shows the commitment and strength of the government towards democracy.
He made these remarks at the initiation parade of the 74th batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). He said that due to the policy of zero tolerance of terrorism, strong framework of anti-terrorism laws, robustness of agencies and strength of political will, incidents of terrorism have reduced. Shah said that the country has faced many ups and downs and many challenges in internal security during the last seven decades. He reminded that more than 36 thousand policemen gave their lives during this challenge.
Congress and JDS believe in Tipu Sultan
Later, Minister Amit Shah participated in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Central Arecanut, Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Limited (CAMPCO) in Puttur, Karnataka. Speaking on this occasion, he lashed out at Congress and JDS. He said that Congress and JDS believe in 18th century Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan. He said that these two parties can’t do anything good for Karnataka and the Congress is involved in corruption. It was alleged that Karnataka was used as an ATM for the Gandhi family.
Jammu and Kashmir is a crown of India
Addressing the public, Amit Shah alleged that the previous Congress government in Karnataka had abandoned 1,700 PFI members. Rahul Bhai said that Congress should listen carefully. This is the Modi government and no one dares to throw a pebble except to talk about bloodshed. By abrogating Article-370 in Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made Kashmir a crown of India.
