Karnataka: A tragic incident in Raichur in the state of Karnataka caused panic in the locality. A fire broke out in the house and the mother and two daughters were burnt alive. The incident took place in Shakti Nagar KPCL Colony of Raichur Taluk on Monday afternoon. Shakti Nagar police station staff said that the deceased have been identified as Ranjitha (33), Mridula (13) and Tarunya (5). It is suspected that the accident occurred due to fire in the AC of the house. However, the exact cause of the house fire was not known.
Rayachoti SP Satyanarayana and Shakti Nagar PSI went to the spot and investigated after receiving information about the incident. The family of Siddha Lingaiah, who was working as an AE at Shakti Nagar thermal center, met with this accident. Siddha Lingaiah belongs to Mandya district. Siddha Lingaiah was not at home at the time of the accident. The police reached the scene of the incident and shifted the dead bodies to Rims Hospital Mortuary. Due to the fire, the thick smoke spread to the surrounding houses. Not knowing what was going to happen, the locals panicked.

Meanwhile, a tragic incident took place in Kannur, Kerala this February. Two people, including a pregnant woman, were burnt alive when the car caught fire. The deceased have been identified as Prajit and his wife Risha. The tragic incident took place near the district hospital in Kannur city at around half past ten in the morning. There were six people in the car at the time of the accident. The husband of the pregnant woman was driving the car, the pregnant woman was in the front seats and four others were in the back seats.
When the accident happened, the four people in the back seats immediately got out of the car. But as the door of the car was jammed, the two in the front seat could not escape. Fire broke out due to short circuit. In this accident, four people, including a three-year-old child, who were sitting in the back seats survived. According to a report, the accident took place while the family of six members was on their way to the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Reesha (26) and her husband Prajit (32), both residents of Kuttiyattur.
Locals who were eyewitnesses to the incident said that Prajit’s legs, who were in the driver’s seat, caught fire. He immediately stopped the car and opened the back doors, Malayalam Manorama said, quoting eyewitnesses. Prajit failed to open the front door as the people behind rushed out of the car. The couple trapped in the car caught fire. It is reported that the locals watched helplessly as the couple screamed for help.
