Tripura Assembly Elections: The rush of political parties during elections in North East India is not usual. Prominent parties are looking to gain a foothold in those areas. They are looking to win the upcoming elections and get the seat of power. For this they are using all the resources available to them. In Tripura too, the parties are immersed in the Ennila campaign. In this order, the top leaders of many parties are queuing up for the election campaign there. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in the election campaign in Tripura this week.

BJP is already campaigning vigorously. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address two election rallies in Tripura on Monday, a senior party leader said. Shah was scheduled to land at the MBB airport here at 11.30 pm on Sunday. Shah will address two election rallies at Khowai in Khowai district and Shantirbazar in South Tripura district on Monday. A senior party leader said that the Union Minister will also participate in the road show in Agartala city on Monday.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha along with BJP Yuva Morcha State President Nabadal Banik visited Khowai and Shantir Bazar on Saturday to review the preparations for the two election rallies to be addressed by the Union Home Minister. A senior police officer said on Sunday that security arrangements have been made in the capital city in view of the roadshow to be led by the Union Home Minister. Earlier, the Union Home Minister visited the state on January 5. Attended two Rath Yatras. One from Dharmanagar in North Tripura and the other from Sabroom in South Tripura, the party has started campaigning for the assembly elections.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also come to Tripura on February 7 to participate in the election campaign. With this, it seems that the campaign of the saffron party in the state is on the upswing.

Mamata Banerjee too..

Trinamool Congress chief and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also visit Tripura. Election campaign will be conducted there. Trinamool Congress released the first list of 22 candidates last Sunday. The party’s state in-charge Rajib Banerjee said that they are fully prepared for the elections. Meanwhile, elections to the 60-member Tripura Assembly will be held on February 16. BJP has fielded candidates in 55 seats. Allotting five seats to its ally, the IPFT. In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP won 36 seats while its ally IPFT won eight seats.
